Should D tweak the title?

This one is just for D. James. Should he follow the whim of a madwoman and change the title of his sci-fi novella On Venusian Cloud Colony Number Nine to The Black Diamonds of Venus? Or is it fine as it is?

He doesn’t have to listen to me, of course. But what do you think?

Cloud Colony…

or Diamonds?

Oh no, D! What if someone else comes up with an even better title? >:0

About Anneque D. Machelle

Anneque "Dangerpus" Machelle (rhymes with ranger wuss) is a rebel and a rogue from way out west. Strictly banned from interactions with other human beings, she spends her days amongst molluscs, dogs and lizards, whom she counts as her closest friends.

  1. I’ll put my two cents worth in – I like “The Black Diamonds of Venus” a little bit more!

  2. The Black Diamonds of Venus reminds me of classic sci-fi from the likes of Asimov (Lucky Starr and the Oceans of Venus).

  3. I’m going to be incredibly unhelpful and sit on the fence as I like both XD

  4. OVCC#9 definitely. Keep it!

  5. Having seen the ‘Captain Underpants’ books in the shops, and their obscenely long titles, such as…
*sucks in breath Ace Ventura style*
‘Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies from Outer Space (and the Subsequent Assault of the Equally Evil Lunchroom Zombie Nerds)’
    *evil grimace with exhale*
… there is room for either long or alternative titles. ‘The Black Diamonds of Venus: On Cloud Colony Number Nine’ mayhaps?

Thank you for taking the vote, and those who voted =)
