Would anyone care to do me the extreme honour of beta reading my NaNoWriMo story, Love, Charybdis? It’s 65000 words, formatted, in not-too-shabby condition. The story is science fiction horrormance, following the female chemist Marie-Noelle Strand in 19th century France on the eve of a religious revolution. Marie-Noelle’s dedicated hermitude comes to an abrupt end when her long-lost love John arrives on her doorstep. With the world in a stir, Marie-Noelle struggles to overcome her own misgivings about John, her return to society, and what her own experiments will mean to the new world.
Ha. That’s not a terrible summary. Maybe they do get easier with time.
