If you’ve come for more information about the characters in the short stories and comics, this is the right place! The list is incomplete – it’s updated as the characters appear in various media around the site.

#001 - Haru A pacifist, a smoker, and an all round lousy guy to have around in a desperate situation. Haru is pretty much the worst hero ever. He's a fallout from the Gold World, arriving on Midgard when he was age 10. The elusive apothecary/ population scientist Isuzu Isuzu is his adoptive father. Haru currently works as a wandering mender under the Valhalla Menders' Guild.

#015 – Mahalla Pendragon
Mahalla might be big on talking, but he’s a miser with details. He instigated the quest to save Tenma, conveying messages between Tenma’s group and his mysterious mistress. Who Mahalla works for and what she wants isn’t know, and nobody wants to cross a coyote who eats steel boots. Mahalla’s favourite pastime is eating, and his favourite person is everyone.

#018 - Aki Otono Hot-tempered and a fearsome warrior, Aki has long served as a Valkyrie with the Empress's Court Guard. While her favourite weapon is the sword, she's proficient in making even everyday objects into deadly weapons.

#030 - Serqet A Bronze World fallout and something of a sweetheart, Serqet's fondness for disastrous relationships sees her treated as something of an airhead. She fell in love with the Gate Keeper whilst acting as his social worker on a fallout ranch. More recently she's been entangled with fellow Asura, Howell.

#031 Howell Pollux One of New Utopia's premier rift technicians and still, despite his crippling bipolar disorder and split personalities, one of the best brains in the business. He joined Neara's Asuras to test his theories on dimensional rifts. He's the guy to know for parties.

#032 - The Gate Keeper While Serqet and some of the Asuras call him Grigori, the Gate Keeper has never given himself a name. Silent and brooding, he keeps the Asuras' super-dimensional hideout connected with Midgard. Serqet encouraged him to make the buffalo-horned staff he now carries everywhere. Although it was meant to be a present for her, he's never let her have it.

# 036 - Ursula An up-and-coming fallout actress whose reputation and career were destroyed by the anti-fallout Book Burners. Ursula joined the Asuras, swearing to have her revenge on the Book Burners. She resembles Neara closely, and was probably admitted into the Asuras to act as a body double.

# 070 – Baron Charl Esteban Groan
An absolutely smashing chap after the ilk of Sky Captain Bartholomew. The Baron roams the world collecting magazines for his family who reside in the isolated Barren Green, as island off the west coast of Jotunheim. His younger sister Elis is the only one who calls him Charl; even his parents know him as the Baron.

  1. I am intrigued by the numbering convention; some are closely grouped, while others are far either side. Will there be 999 characters?

    • Well…(sometimes it feels like it!) I actually have all the profiles made as they are relevant to the third book, I made them up for part of the media kit. I’m only posting them as they become relevant, i.e the character appears in the comic or a short story. There are around 75, I think. They’re grouped according to affiliation.
Thanks for having a look! šŸ™‚
